How to vote in Los Angeles and CD 13

Who can vote for Kate Pynoos?

You are allowed to vote for Kate in the Council District 13 election if you are:

  • A US Citizen

  • Live in Council District 13

  • Are at least 18 years old on June 7, 2022

  • Not currently serving a prison term for a felony

  • No currently considered mentally incompetent to vote by a court

How do I vote by mail?

If you haven’t received your ballot in the mail yet, you should request a replacement ballot before May 31 with the Los Angeles County Registrar here.

Once you have your ballot and have filled it out, sign and date the envelope, then put the ballot into the envelope and seal it.

There are four ways to return your ballot:

  • Mail it so that it’s postmarked by June 7 and arrives by June 14. Your ballot does not require a stamp.

  • Return it in person at any Los Angeles County vote center. Find the closest one to your home or work with this lookup and map

  • Put it in an official Los Angeles County drop box. Find the closest one to you with this lookup and map.

How do I vote in person

You can vote at any Los Angeles County vote center. The vote center in Norwalk opened on May 9. The rest of the vote centers open on May 28.

You can vote in person even if you received a vote-by-mail ballot, as long as you haven’t returned your ballot already.

How do I register to vote?

First use this website to check if you’re already registered. If your registration is not found or you need to update it with your new address, visit this California Secretary of State website to register, or re-register.

You can register online up until May 23 and in person at any LA County vote center once they open and up through the election. If the polls are still open, you can still register to vote.

How do I vote if I don't have an address?

A numbered street address is not required to register to vote, you can provide the nearest cross streets, city, and county you live. You can register online, or at a vote center while the polls are open.
